Kollokium, the project-led collective founded in 2020 by Manuel Emch, Barth Nussbaumer and Amr Sindi (The Horophile), follows its debut series with a second, fundamentally different object. Projekt 02 pivots from the “pin dial” language of Projekt 01 to a sculptural, topographical dial built from stacked plates, housed in a slimmer monobloc case. The Friends, Family, Fools & Flippers launch is limited to 199 pieces.

Staying true to Kollokium’s neubrutalist approach, the case is made of die-cast 316L steel, chosen for its forms and textures that are impractical with traditional milling methods. It’s a single visible unit: no separate bezel or caseback, integrated triangular lugs, a valve-style crown, and the full project designation “K,P–n°02” in relief on the flank. Dimensions are compact: 39.5mm diameter; 5.90mm without crystal, 12.40mm with a tall box sapphire. Water-resistance is 50m.

Projekt 02 trades pixels for contours, and the panoramic sapphire crystal, rising from the dial’s base level, exposes the three-dimensional build. The dial is assembled from 67 individual plates spread across nine layers, stacked and pegged to create flowing, “map-like” relief. Plates are hand-painted: white lacquer infused with green-emitting Super-LumiNova in the recesses; sandblasted, warm-silver metal edges are left bare to catch the light. Twelve individual hour markers are embedded within the pattern. Hour and minute hands in warm silver carry luminous Lichtblock inserts; a fluorescent-orange central seconds hand adds a precise visual anchor with its bent-triangle counterweight.

The watch is powered by La Joux-Perret’s automatic G101, operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour with a 68-hour autonomy. In keeping with the platform’s focus on case and dial, the calibre remains unbranded and unexposed. The back of the watch bears a message that, when read, may cause seasickness; however, there is a proper warning.

The Projekt 02 is worn on a single-piece elastic textile strap in khaki. Sizing is tool-free via stitched loops. The hook buckle is die-cast steel, matching the case. The FFF&F edition is limited to 199 pieces, offered first to Projekt 01 F&F and then to existing Kollokium owners. Price is CHF 3’333.33 (excl. VAT). The first publicly available variant is scheduled for Q1 2026 at CHF 3,666.66 (excluding VAT).

  1. It looks weird to me. Looks like the contours of the face of Darth Sidious aka Palpatine.
