Arnold & Son introduced its first integrated luxury sports watch last year with the Longitude Titanium, featuring three dial colours. The 2025 Longitude Titanium 5°W Edition is the latest variant with a single dial colour inspired by the hue of the North Atlantic’s surface as autumn storms approach. Specifically, it’s from the waters off Lizard Point at the southern tip of Great Britain (at 5° longitude west and near 50° latitude north, hence the name). The overall design comes from the brand’s marine chronometers from as far back as 1775, which were instrumental in allowing the British navy to accurately calculate longitude.

The grade 5 titanium case is unchanged from earlier Longitude Titanium models, with a large diameter of 42.5mm and a height of 12.25mm. The screw-down crown is again partially guarded and water resistance is rated at 100 metres. A standout feature this year is the 18k red gold notched ring between the bezel and case band, which was titanium before. It highlights the removable bezels of old marine chronometers and adds a bit of bling. There are AR sapphire crystals on both sides, with the slightly concave exhibition case back reminiscent of a boat’s keel. The watch comes with a slightly rounded, polished and vertically brushed integrated titanium bracelet with H links and a folding clasp, while an anthracite grey alligator leather strap with a titanium pin buckle is also included. Both have an easy interchangeability system.

The dial has a vertically brushed satin finish in what Arnold & Son calls Lizard Point Grey, referencing the southern tip of Great Britain. A power reserve indicator sits at 12 o’clock with an arc of six cutouts that increase in size, while a recessed sub-dial at 6 o’clock has the small seconds. This vertical arrangement recalls the classic layout of early John Arnold marine chronometers. The applied golden indices and open-worked hour and minute hands have Super-LumiNova inserts, while the outer minute track shares the texture of the sub-dial’s snailed pattern.

Powering the Longitude Titanium 5°W Edition is the in-house A&S6302 COSC-certified automatic with 36 jewels, a beat rate of 28,800vph (4Hz) and a 60-hour power reserve. Functions include central hours, minutes, small seconds and power reserve. Seen from the exhibition case back, decorations include perlage and côtes de Genève in a unique pattern known as Rayons de la Gloire, and the 22k red gold rotor is open-worked in the shape of a navigational sextant.

The Arnold & Son Longitude Titanium 5°W Edition is limited to 38 pieces and retails for CHF 25,900 (incl. VAT). For more information and to find a retailer, please visit arnoldandson.com.
