In 2010, the first One Week announced the modern Armin Strom with the brand’s inaugural in-house calibre with seven days of autonomy. The idea returned in 2023 as the One Week First Edition, recast in an integrated steel silhouette with light-blue plates, and the mechanics were brought centre stage. This year, the brand doubled the effort to bring us the One Week Skeleton Titanium, which pushed transparency and lightness with a fully openworked Grade 5 case and bracelet; and the watch we introduce here, the Manufacture Edition Blue.

The stainless steel case of the One Week Manufacture Edition Blue retains the proportions of the series and measures 41mm across, 10.6mm in height and 44.35mm lug-to-lug. It is compact and purposeful, with brushed planes, sharp polished accents and a guarded crown at 3 o’clock. A flat, anti-reflective sapphire tops the dial, while 100m water-resistance and a solid, integrated steel bracelet with double-folding clasp make this a genuine all-week companion, true to the One Week idea.

With the One Week, the traditional dial is deleted, here replaced in favour of a deep blue PVD-coated mainplate that becomes the backdrop. A black minute ring with faceted, SLN-filled indexes frames the display; rhodiumed, polished hands carry luminous fill for contrast; the small seconds sits at 9 o’clock. Between ten and eleven, the One Week’s signature three-dimensional power-reserve, a polished cone driven by a conical gear mirrored between seven and eight, gives a kinetic feel for a readout you check once, then forget for days. Twin ratchet wheels and their barrels balance the display, so what we see is the choreography of springs and wheels in motion.

The One Week Edition Blue is powered by the manual-winding calibre ARM21, developed, finished and assembled in-house. Two barrels in series deliver a seven-day power reserve, at 25,200 vibrations/hour frequency, and a balance with four regulating screws aims at stable running over that span. The movement exhibits straight and circular graining, Geneva stripes, hand-chamfered bevels, polished screws and sinks, and matte-grained textures that play off the deep blue front.

Suppose the First Edition, also blue-toned, set the template, and the Skeleton Titanium explored the “transparent” edge of it. In that case, the Manufacture Edition Blue is the clean, wearable centre of the line. It comes limited to 100 pieces, and the price is CHF 32,000. To learn more, please visit www.arminstrom.com.
